The good news about Jesus is that you can be saved from a solitary torment in hell forever and given a new life of His peace and freedom today.
There is only one way to be saved, available for everyone, not through any Church or religion, but through Jesus alone, and not through any of your good works.
The bad news is that you can’t earn your way to heaven by being a good person or doing good deeds. The good news is you don’t have to.
The bad news is that you and everyone else are born sinners deserving eternal torment in hell. The good news is that it doesn’t have to end like this for you.
The good news is that God is perfectly just. The bad news is that the penalty for any sin is death, someone’s blood is the price for sin. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be your blood. This is very good news.
The good news is that God is full of mercy. The Father sent the Son, Jesus down from heaven to save people from hell, by paying the penalty for all sins. Jesus, sinless God in flesh, died so that all your sins can be forgiven by His shed blood.
The good news is that God is full of grace, giving blessings we can’t merit or earn. Like salvation, only given by His grace, only through faith in His Son, Jesus alone.
The good news is that God saves those who sincerely plead to be saved, who repent from their sinful ways, and who love, trust, obey, and follow Jesus alone. He wants all to repent and be saved and none to choose hell. He is a good God.
The good news is that God is living. Jesus died on the cross, was raised from the dead to life, ascended to the Father in heaven, and sends the Holy Spirit to give new life. He heals guilt and shame, and gives a new heart of joy, peace, and freedom, to those who are no longer slaves of self but born again slaves of Jesus.
The good news is that God is love. Jesus loves you so much that He died for you. He offers you a free gift of salvation and a new life that will cost you your life.
The bad news is that followers of Jesus will suffer in this increasingly evil world. They eagerly tell of His story in their lives and love to share the “good news” of Jesus. Their family and friends may reject or simply tolerate them. The good news is that their suffering will end. After they die, their eternal joy with Jesus continues.
The bad news is that Satan wants to deceive, tempt, and destroy you, daily and forever. He wants you to torment forever in hell alone. He wants you to believe that the “good news” of Jesus is “fake news”. He wants you to believe the lies that good people go to heaven, and that you need the Church or a religion to be saved.
The “good news” is that Jesus alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Trust Him.
